Symbolic of new inspiration, new promises and new commitments, the year 2011 will also include the Indian Fashion industry in the bandwagon of change. More and more western influenced and contemporary design will be on showcase. Continuing the trend from previous year creative transformation, will be under the fashion spotlight be it Salwar Kameez, Tunics or Saree. Modern in the styling and ethnic in the mode of expression will be the designer mantra.

Trendy Colors: Vivid strong colors could be seen in the vogue as Yellow, orange and green like powerful colors were seen on the fashion runways recently.

Multi colored dresses will be preferred most in their silk, lycra and chiffon versions. Not to leave behind the multi colored silk brocades which are popular in ‘churidar kurtha’ and kurtis.

Additionally renowned fashion houses were seen experimenting with sumptuous fabrics in different shades of blue, emerald green, tropical coral, dusty pink, or champagne.

Fashionable Prints: As far as prints goes floral prints, spotted prints, digital prints and wild prints will continue to be vibrant. Ancient heritage of vintage prints will be playing a special significance in inspiring the designers.

Mix and Match: Mix and match is the recent trend in ready wears. Kurta or Traditional Kameez will be fancied with various different leggings or churidar bottoms. Designers can go bizarre with their combination of tops and bottom wears. We can see lot of traditional sarees worn with unconventional trendy blouses like strapless or halter to give overall sexy and sensuous look making one feel young. So there will be no points in guessing that “bold will be the way to go”.

Embellishments: As new season evolves fashion trends merge old with new with much more innovation. Lace work with quality antique-style fabrics will be the key to the trend. Plain netted saris with appliqués or rubber prints along the border also got showcased in vogue. The fact that was clearly hinted is that the designers are finding a balance between ‘sexy’ without being cheap or crude. So expect more net, sheer and satin like fabrics with zardosi, beads and sequins work.

Pleasantly relaxed: Being comfortable in the dress one wears will take precedence above anything else. This changing mindset about dresses will also reflect among the designers resulting in laid back styles and more relaxed clothes. Salwar kameez will be coming in myriad of styles and shapes keeping loose, comfy and breezy fabrics in mind. Pre-stitched ready to wear sarees will take the masses by storm due to its ease of wear and ready pleats. Designers will continue to explore avenues to enrich more into this style adding the icing on the cake.
